Traumatic Brain Injury
Legal Advocacy for
TBI Victims
It is reported that 175,000 South Carolinians have a traumatic brain injury-related disability. A traumatic brain injury, known as TBI, is defined as a hit or jolt to a person’s head that disrupts the function of the brain. Long-term effects of a traumatic brain injury may include problems affecting things such as thinking, memory, learning, coordination and balance, speech, hearing, vision and emotions.
Some of the most common causes of TBI can also be the result of negligent conduct. For example, unintentional falls, car crashes, sports injuries, and exposure to harmful chemicals are all known causes of traumatic brain injuries that may also happen because of negligence. At Duffy & Young, we are dedicated to using our legal experience to fight for your rights and make a difference for you or your loved one.
